November 30, 1907 — born in Merefa, Kharkiv Governorate.
1932 — entered Kharkiv Chemical and Technological Institute, majoring in the technology of organic dyes and intermediates.
1937 — graduated from Kharkiv Chemical and Technological Institute with honors and enrolled at graduate school.
1937-1938 — worked as a research associate in the laboratory of the KhCTI.
1941 — before the beginning of the Great Patriotic War he completed graduate studies, defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences (June 6, 1941). Left for the front, took part in battle actions.
1943 — withdrawn from the army to the institute. Worked as a researcher scholar at the Department of Organic Dyes and Intermediates. Appointed Deputy Director of KhCTI (06.11.1943). He was engaged in its restoration.
1949-1975 — Head of the Department of General Chemical Technology of Processes and Apparatus.
1953-1960 — Deputy Director for scientific work of Kharkiv Chemical-Pharmaceutical Research Institute.
1960-1969 — the initiator of the creation and Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of KhPI.
1965 — the Department of Automation of Chemical Production was created on the initiative of Academician Vasyl Ivanovych Atroshchenko and Hryhorii Kostiantynovych Honcharenko, Head of the Department of Processes and Apparatus.
1967 — Doctor of Technical Sciences.
1969 — Professor.
1October 13, 1976 — passed away at the age of 68.
A famous scientist. Specialist in the field of chemical and phytochemical technologies. Experienced teacher. The main directions of scientific activity were related to the development of intensive methods and heat-and-mass transfer equipment. Prepared more than 200 scientific publications, received 20 copyright certificates for inventions. Under his supervision, 30 candidates of sciences were trained. He was the initiator of the creation of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering. For the high rates in scientific and pedagogical activities, Hryhorii Kostiantynovych was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, medals, etc.
