Savenkov Anatolii Serhiiovych is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances, Catalysis and Ecology of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».
Born on March 21, 1943.
He graduated from Dnipropetrovsk Chemical-Technological Institute. Since 1965, Anatolii Serhiivych has been working at NTU «KhPI» going all the way from Assistant to Professor.
In 1969 he defended Ph.D. thesis «Issledovanie kontaktnogo protsessa okisleniya ammiaka pod davleniem» [The investigation of the contact process of the ammonia oxidation under pressure] under scholarly supervision of the outstanding scientist V. I. Atroshchenko.
In 1987 he defended his doctoral dissertation «Kataliticheskie protsessyi v tehnologii azotnoy kisloty» [Catalytic processes in the technology of nitric acid] which has not lost its relevance to date.
Anatolii Serhiivych is one of the leading experts in the field of technology of inorganic substances in Ukraine. His scientific work on catalytic methods for producing nitrogen oxides and developing catalysts for these processes, the production of mineral fertilizers from Ukrainian raw materials are well known and widely recognized by the scientific community.
A. S. Savenkov’s scientific interests cover topics such as kinetics and catalysis; nanotechnology; fertilizers; mathematical modeling; chemical technology; bioenergy and biofuels; catalytic fuel combustion.
A. S. Savenkov is the author of more than 500 publications, including — 5 monographs, 2 textbooks, about 50 patents for inventions and utility models. He has prepared 8 Ph.D. and 3 D.Sc.
At the department of Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances, Catalysis and Ecology Anatolii Serhiivych gives lecture courses: nano- and resource-saving technologies; mathematical modeling of chemical-technological processes; nanotechnology and nanomaterials; fundamentals of research.
