Abstract

The theoretical foundations of a new mathematical method — continuous linear programming, which is a generalization of linear programming are outlined in the monograph. Examples of formulations of many technical, economic, military and other problems with the same-type mathematical model are presented: to find a function that delivers the minimum (maximum) value to a linear functional under the same restrictions. A technique for solving such problems is proposed. The solutions of a large number of examples illustrating the technique brought to the final results are given.

The book is intended for a wide range of readers, including specialists in applied mathematics, engineers, lecturers, graduate students and other people interested in the construction of mathematical models of economics, mathematical statistics, decision making.

The publication is supplemented by a chapter on fuzzy continuous linear programming.
