Abstract

This training manual is for international students of economic specialties, who study course «Mathematics for Economists» on the Bachelor Degree Program.
The content of the manual is determined by curricula and programs for students of the economic profile and includes the main sections of higher mathematics: linear algebra, analytic geometry and mathematical analysis.
The manual contains materials necessary for further study of probability theory, mathematical statistics, mathematical programming and Macro- and Microeconomics.
The material of the manual is set out in two parts. The first part includes sections of linear and lector algebra, analytic geometry, the concept of a function and its limit.
The second part contains materials on the application of the derivative for the functions investigation, the basic rules of integration and also concepts and methods for solving ordinary differential equations.
Each topic of the manual begins with the section «Vocabulary of the topic» (glossary), which contains key words and concepts used in texts and tasks. The dictionary is written in English and Chinese.
In the process of presenting the material, the author does not concentrate on the formal completeness of formulations and proofs.
The main focus is on the meaning of mathematical concepts and their application in solving specific problems, particular economic ones.
The presentation of the material is based on the principle of gradual complication of theoretical information from the topic to the topic. Students are given the possibility to master the course terminology extremely filled with a large amount of new material on their own.
An accessible presentation of the basic concepts of the theory, examples of solving typical problems, control questions and tasks give students the opportunity to work independently with the literature of mathematical cycle.
