Lapuzina Olena Mykolaivna — Head of the Department of Natural Sciences at the Faculty of International Education of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», Associate Professor, Ph.D (Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences), Professor of NTU «KhPI». She gives lessons in Mathematics, Higher Mathematics, Computer science, Business Ethics in Ukrainian, English and Russian to foreign students.
Born in the city of Kharkiv. In 1983 she graduated from the Physics and Technology faculty of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (nowadays — the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute») with a specialization in «Сryogenic Technique» and in the same year began to work at NTU «KhPI».
In 2006 she defended her PhD thesis on the topic « Formation of professional ethics for future engineers on the basis of situational learning » and obtained a Ph.D degree in Pedagogy
She gave lectures at the University of Havana (Republic of Cuba) and obtained an interpreter diploma in English. She worked at the University of Toronto (Canada), where she officially confirmed the title of Ph.D.
She is the author of more than 90 scientific and scientific-methodical works, 17 of which are textbooks and training manuals (4 — with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine) as well as two dictionaries.
She has scientific publications in the leading scientific professional journals of Ukraine, as well as in journals indexed in the international databases the Scopus and Web of Science. Creates distance learning courses for foreign citizens. The creation of two distance learning courses was completed in 2016.
Scientific interests: innovative methods of teaching, psychological and pedagogical aspects of teaching foreign students, distance learning, intersubject coordination, theory and practice of business ethics teaching.
