Kondrashov Serhii Ivanovych is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Data Measuring Technologies and Systems of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».

He was born on July 2, 1950 in Kharkiv.

In 1973 he graduated from Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (now is the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»). The further working career of S. I. Kondrashov is also connected with National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»: he studied there as a graduate student, defended his candidate’s in 1979. From 1980 to 2000, he served as Deputy Vice-Rector for scientific work. Under his leadership, the metrological service, the standardization and collection of precious metals were organized.

In 2001 S. I. Kondrashov headed the Department of Data Measuring Technologies and Systems» and still works as its Head, in 2004 he successfully defended his Doctoral dissertation on the topic: «Pidvyshchennia tochnosti vymiriuvalnykh peretvoriuvachiv z formuvanniam u realnykh umovakh testovykh vplyvi» [Increasing the accuracy of measuring transducers with the formation of test effects in real conditions] and received the scientific degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, the specialty 05.11.05 – «Devices and methods of measuring electric and magnetic quantities.» In 2005, S. I. Kondrashov was awarded the title of Professor. Later the scientist became Academician of the Academy of Technological Sciences and the Academy of Metrology of Ukraine.

The main areas of interest in research: introduction to systems theory, measurement information systems, control of dynamic systems, test methods of static and dynamic control of measuring transducers.

S. I. Kondrashov's scientific achievements include publications in the field of metrological support of measuring tools, in-depth study of test methods of non-dismantling control, primary measuring transducers. He is the author of more than 300 scientific papers, including 22 copyright certificates and patents, 40 educational and methodological publications (15 of them with the visas of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine).

Professor S. I. Kondrashov is the founder of the scientific school of the development and implementation of test methods for increasing accuracy. Serhii Ivanovych is a member of three Specialized Scientific Councils and has prepared 1 Doctor and 5 Candidates of Technical Sciences.
