Grinchenko Mykola Petrovych is Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Strategic Management of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».

Born May 15, 1936.

Mykola Petrovych's career is inseparably linked with Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (nowadays — National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»).

He came to the institute as a student in 1960. In 1965, after graduation of the institute, Mykola Petrovych remained to work as an engineer at the Problem Laboratory of the Department of Dynamics and Strength of Machines on Professor Ye. H. Goloskokov’s proposition. And then he started his postgraduate study under scientific supervision of Professor L. I. Steinfolf.

After defending Ph.D. thesis in 1975, Mykola Petrovych worked as Assistant Lecture and then as Associate Professor of Theoretical Mechanics Department. In 1992, he was appointed Deputy Dean of the Engineering and Physics Faculty, and then the Faculty of Informatics and Management.

Since 2000, Mykola Petrovych has been working at the Department of Strategic Management, which after the reorganization of the Faculty of Informatics and Management became a part of the Faculty of Computer Science and Software Engineering. More than one generation of students is grateful to a caring educator for a truly parental attitude and willingness to help in any situation.
