Maryna Vitaliivna Ved (09.05.1961–2021) — Professor of the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, a leading scientist and expert in the field of chemical technologies and modern materials science.

All of Maryna Ved's scientific and pedagogical activities were connected with the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute": Candidate of Technical Sciences (1991), Doctor of Technical Sciences (2008), Senior Researcher (1993), Associate Professor (1997), and Full Professor (2009) of the Department of "General and Inorganic Chemistry."

In 2014, Maryna Ved was recognized as the winner of the regional competition “Higher School of Kharkiv Region — Best Names” in the nomination “Teacher of Fundamental Disciplines.”

Maryna Vitaliivna Ved became the first female scientist of Kharkiv Polytechnic to be awarded the State Prize in Science and Technology.
She became the laureate of the National Award of Ukraine named after Borys Paton in 2021 from NTU "KhPI" for her work "Electrochemistry of Functional Materials and Systems."
