The training manual deals with environmentally sustainable development of cities, based on up-to-date, theoretical and practical knowledge. The notion about ecologically sustainable urbanized areas that include sustainable resource consumption, ecologization of the ndustry, life-supporting sectors of the city and construction has been broadened and substantiated. The features of flora and fauna of a city and the preservation of its landscapes have been described. The main elements of the activity on creation of environmentally sustainable cities are considered.
The manual is intended for students and academics, as well as for all who are interested in problems of environmentally sustainable development of cities.
