Kyrkach Mykola Fedorovych: To the 140th Anniversary of NTU "KhPI"

In January-February 2025, the scientific and technical library (library, subscription No. 1, room 45) presented the book exhibition "Kyrkach Mykola Fedorovych: To the 100th Anniversary of His Birth" dedicated to the memory of the distinguished polytechnician.
January 18 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mykola Fedorovych Kyrkach. The entire career of M.F. Kyrkach was associated with the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. Mykola Fedorovych Kyrkach (1925–1990) was a well-known scientist, a specialist in the field of applied mechanics, a Candidate of Technical Sciences, and a professor.
Mykola Fedorovych was instrumental in the establishment of new universities in Ukraine on the basis of KhPI branches, the creation of new departments and faculties at the institute, and the initiation of modern engineering specialties. He made a significant contribution to strengthening the material base, constructing educational buildings, and student dormitories. At his initiative, several important facilities were built: the NDPKI "Molniya", the Turbine Construction Department building, the Fats and Radio Department building, the U-2 educational building, the second phase of the NDPKI "Molniya" — a facility in Andriivka, and a sports complex. 
Mykola Fedorovych Kyrkach was a talented organizer who dedicated his entire life to training highly qualified engineers and to the development of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.
