Pererva Petro Hryhorovych


Pererva Petro Hryhorovych is Head of the Department of Innovative Entrepreneurship Management and International Economic Relations of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», Doctor of Economics, Professor.

Born in July 10, 1948 in Semyhiria village of Kirovohrad region.

In 1976, after military service, he graduated with honors from Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, the Electric Machine Engineering Faculty. Since 1977 to the present days he has been working at NTU «KhPI», holding positions from post-graduate student of the Department of Production Organization to Dean of the Faculty of Economics.

In 1981, he defended Ph.D. thesis, and in 1991 — doctoral thesis.

Petro Hryhorovych Pererva is a well-known scientist and economist in Ukraine and abroad, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, a member of the Scientific and Methodological Commission on Business, Management and Law, (subcommittee 051 «Economics»), Honorary Doctor of the University of Miskolc (Hungary), academician of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine, a member of the Ukrainian-American-Polish Association of Scientists to Promote the Quality of Business Education in Ukraine.

In addition, he is a chairman of the specialized council for the defense of doctoral theses; a member of the professional and scientific and methodological council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on Economics and Management for classical universities, a member of the accreditation committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in the fields of «Innovation Activity Management», «Innovation Management», «Enterprise Management», and «Intellectual Property», a member of the Board associations of universities of Ukraine for the development of educational management.

P. H. Pererva is the founder of marketing as a science in Ukraine, the author of a scientific direction on self-marketing in Europe. The author of the first marketing textbook in Ukraine « Upravleniye marketingom na mashinostroitelnom predpriyatii» [Marketing Management at a Machine-Building Enterprise] (1992), which is still popular among students and lecturers.

Petro Hryhorovych is the initiator of the emergence and development of economic and business education at NTU «KhPI»; the founder and first Dean of the Faculty of Economics throughout 25 years.

P.H. Pereva's personal authority as a scientist and his organizational abilities in the field of scientific and pedagogical work at NTU «KhPI» have been confirmed by numerous distinctions and awards including: Gratitude of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Kharkiv Regional State Administration, badge of the Mayor of Kharkiv «For diligence», a nominal scholarship named after M.I. Tuhan-Baranovskyi for outstanding scientists, Gold Medal of the University of Miskolc (Hungary) and etc.

Petro Hryhorovych is editor-in-chief of the scientific journal «Innovative Marketing» (SCOPUS scientometric base), editor-in-chief of the scientific journal «Visnyk NTU «KhPI» [Bulletin of NTU «KhPI]. Series: «Economic Sciences» (Kharkiv), Deputy Editor of the scientific journal «Enerhetyka, enerhozberezhennia ta enerhoaudyt» [Power Engineering, Energy saving and Energy Audit]; a member of the Editorial Board of the scientific journals «Reklama ta marketynh» [Advertising and Marketing], «Intelektualna vlasnist» [Intellectual Property] (Kiev), «Economics and Business» (Miskolc, Hungary), «Economics» (Magdeburg, Germany).

Scientific supervisor and coordinator of a number of international scientific projects funded by INTAS, TEMPUS, TACIS. Has extensive scientific connections with scientists from universities in Germany, Hungary, France, Belgium, Finland, Spain, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, USA and others.

P. H. Pererva is the author of more than 500 scientific and educational publications, among which: 30 – monographs, more than 30 – textbooks and study guides. The scientific community is well aware of his fundamental scientific works on marketing, innovative management, intellectual property, economics and the organization of the engineering industry. He has been a supervisor for the preparation and defending of 3 doctoral and 26 Ph.D. theses.
