Orlovskyi Dmytro Leonidovych is Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Software Engineering and Management Information Technologies of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».
Born on December 2, 1964.
In 1988, Dmytro Leonidovych graduated from Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (nowadays — the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute») and linked his further career with his native institute.
His life is closely connected with NTU «KhPI». Dmytro Leonidovych has gone the way from a student of the Department of Software Engineering and Management Information Technologies to Associate Professor. For many years he has been working as Deputy Dean.
Worked in the following positions:
1988 — lecturer-trainee of the department of Automated Control Systems,
1989–1990 — engineer of the department of Automated Control Systems, head of the laboratory of the department of Automated Control Systems,
1991–1992 — junior research scientist of the Department of Automated Control Systems,
1993–1994 — software engineer of the 1st category of the Center of New Information Technologies of Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,
1994–1996 — Assistant Lecturer of the Department of Automated Control Systems,
1996–2005 — Senior Lecturer of the Department of Automated Control Systems,
2005 — Associate Professor of Automated Control Systems (now — Department of Software Engineering and Management Information Technologies).
In 2005 he defended Ph.D. thesis «Modeli, metody ta informatsiini tekhnolohii sytuatsiinoho upravlinnia prybutkom pidpryiemstva» [Models, methods and information technology of situational management of the enterprise profit].
Associate Professor D. L. Orlovskyi successfully combines his work as a lecture with research and methodological activities. He has more than 89 scientific publications, among them publications from editions included in the Scopus and Web of Science databases.
D. L. Orlovskyi's research interests: databases and control systems of databases, simulation and business process analysis, engineering and reengineering of business processes and business systems, software design and development of information systems for the complex automation of enterprises, data warehouses, analytical data processing, Business Intelligence systems.
Dmytro Leonidovych Orlovskyi teaches disciplines: «Database Organization», «Database Design», «Information Systems Design», «Architecture and Software Design», «Business Systems Engineering and Reengineering», «Data Analysis and VI-Technologies».
