Sharonova Nataliia Valeriivna — Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.
Born on February 23, 1953 in the town of Hrebinka, Poltava region.
In 1975 she graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science of the Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics majoring in applied mathematics.
Applied Mathematics; engineer-mathematician.

1994 — Doctor of Technical Sciences.
Profession and type of activity:
Mathematical foundations of linguistics; artificial intelligence: linguistic problems; intelligent systems, mathematical modeling; intelligent information technologies; scientific consulting of doctoral students; post-graduate students’ supervision.
She worked as a junior, senior and leading researcher, a head of the laboratory of artificial intelligence KhIRE (1975-1994).
Professor of the Department of Informatics of the Kharkiv State Institute of Culture (1994-1996).
Vice-Rector for Scientific Research Work of the Kharkiv University of Humanities «People's Ukrainian Academy» (1996-2003).
Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Social Systems Management, Professor of the Department of Automated Control Systems of NTU «KhPI» (2003-2007).
Since February 2007 he has been Head of the Department of Intelligent Computer Systems, Professor.
Throughout her life she has been engaging in science. In 1984 she defended Ph.D. thesis «Mathematical modeling of the regularities of natural language». Supervisor — Professor Bondarenko M.F.
In 1994 she defended Dr.Sc. thesis «Comparative Identification of Linguistic Objects» in the specialty 05.25.05 — «Information Systems and Processes». Professor Shabanov-Kushnarenko Yurii Petrovych, whom she considers a Lifelong Teacher, was a scientific consultant.
Under N.V. Sharonova’s supervision 17 candidate dissertations were defended. N.V. Sharonova is a scientific consultant for three doctoral studies. For many years she has been a member of Specialized Doctoral Councils for the defense of dissertations, regularly acting as an official opponent.
Since 2003 she has been actively engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities at NTU «KhPI». With her active participation, such specialties as «Psychology», «Administrative Management», «Higher School Pedagogy», «Applied Linguistics» were introduced.
In 2007, thanks to Nataliia Valeriivna’s efforts, a new department called «Intelligent Computer Systems» was created at the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».
The total number of scientific papers exceeds 190. She is the author of more than 150 scientific articles, 8 textbooks, including 2 stamped by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 7 educational publications, 6 monographs. Several author's courses have been prepared, including: «Machine Translation», «Business Skills», «Organizational Behavior», «Mathematical Models of Emerging Systems», «Mathematical Methods of Operations Research», «Modeling of Systems», «Mathematical Fundamentals of Linguistics» and etc.
Takes an active part in organizing and conducting scientific conferences, seminars, exhibitions, including international.
From 1993 to 2001 she was elected President of the Association of Modern Information and Library Technologies (AMILT), a member of the Board of AMILT, actively working on the development of Kharkiv regional scientific and educational information network. Since 2003 she has been Head of Kharkiv branch of the Ukrainian Federation of Informatics (UFI).
Honorary title: 2021 — Order of Princess Olga III degree.
