Meeting of the National ORCID Consortium Ukraine

On September 18, 2024, the annual meeting of the National ORCID Consortium Ukraine took place.

This is an important event where the results of the three-year activities of the ORCID Ukraine Consortium were discussed, and new directions and strategies for further integration of ORCID into educational and scientific institutions in Ukraine were developed.

НNTU "KhPI" has been a member of the National ORCID Consortiumа Ukraine since 2022. During this time, technological and organizational measures have been implemented to integrate the opportunities provided by the membership into the university's activities.

The Scientific and Technical Library of NTU "KhPI" presented the results of its participation in the National ORCID Consortium.

The Publishing Support Center of the Scientific and Technical Library provides informational support for researchers and publishes instructions for independent work of authors in the ORCID section. In autumn 2022, during events dedicated to Open Access Week, the official establishment of the Ukrainian ORCID Consortium was announced.

The project is being implemented in Ukraine by the State Scientific and Technical Library (SSTL) of Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The establishment of the ORCID Consortium in Ukraine ensures the seamless updating of information with the ORCID system, which is a part of the aggregator in creating compatible research infrastructures by adopting and using reliable permanent identifiers and standard vocabularies, record formats, and authentication methods to enhance data quality in the collection, management, sharing, and aggregation of research information.
