On January 11, 2017, the Scientific Library hosted a commemoration gathering devoted
to the famous educator, Professor Yurii Dmytrovych Sakara, Pro-rector of NTU «KhPI».
On January 11, 2017 Professor Yurii Dmytrovych Sakara, Pro-rector of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» would have celebrated the 70th anniversary. The library conference hall could not accommodate all people who still cannot recover after the recent loss and united with a common grief. Friends and colleagues did not hold back emotions while watching the movie «In Blessed Memory of Yurii Dmytrovych Sakara». The film director, the head of the studio «KhPI-Film» Iryna Zhoresivna Faustova emphasized that the film had been created on call of her heart. All the speeches and memoirs were imbued with sincere gratitude, bitterness of loss, pain and irrepressible longing for an outstanding person. A person who was, is and will always be in hearts of all the Politechnicans!
