The main purpose of this electronic publication is to consolidate the students’ system of fundamental understanding of the concept of differential and integral calculus of the function of several variables, differential equations and series, sufficient for mastering technical disciplines in the range of engineering specialties for which specialists are trained at National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». When selecting the material of the theoretical part, the principle of reasonable sufficiency was consistently carried out: most of the proofs of theorems are omitted, but the strictness of the definition is maintained, the introduced concepts and the connections between them are illustrated by a large number of examples.
The practical part is a set of practical exercises, which is essentially training and testing programs for the specified sections of the course of higher mathematics, created on the principle of imitation of the «presence of a teacher». These programs give an opportunity for each student to maximally individualize the learning process and exercise self-control.
