Permyakov Olexander Anatoliyovych is Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology and Metal-Cutting Machines of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor. Active member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Ukraine and the Association of Mechanical Engineering Technologists of Ukraine.
O. A. Permyakov was born on April 3, 1964. In 1981 he finished secondary school with honors and entered the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (nowadays — National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», which he graduated in 1987, having qualified as mechanical engineer in the specialty «Mechanical engineering technology, metal-cutting machines and tools».
Since then, Oleksandr Anatoliyovych Permyakov has been working at National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». He started with a trainee-researcher and then took positions of Assistant, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology and Metal-Cutting Machines, and since 2017 — Head of this department.
From 1990 to 1993 he attended post-graduate school and in 1994 defended his candidate's dissertation. In 2002 he defended his doctoral dissertation. In 2003 he was awarded the academic title of Professor.
Professor Permyakov O. A. is a well-known scientist and specialist in mechanical engineering technology and metal-cutting equipment, known in Ukraine and abroad. The main direction of his scientific research is the development of the technological foundations for the creation and components of aggregated technological systems of mechanical processing.
Oleksandr Anatoliyovych pays considerable attention to the training of academic personnel. From 2003 he performed the duties of Academic Secretary, and since 2015 he has been Head of the Specialized Academic Council D64.050.12 at NTU «KhPI» for the defense of doctoral dissertations in the specialties 05.02.08 — «Mechanical Engineering Technology» and 05.03.01 — «Machining processes, machines and tools».
He was the member of the Specialized Academic Council at National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute». Since 2015 Oleksandr Anatoliyovych has performed the duties of Deputy Chairman of the Scientific Council of NTU «KhPI». Under his leadership of the Specialized Academic Council D64.050.12 more than 20 doctoral’s dissertations and more than 70 candidate’s dissertations were reviewed and successfully defended. Under his supervision, 4 candidate’s dissertations were prepared and defended.
From 2008 to 2010 — the member of the Expert Council of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine. When NTU «KhPI» received a license for educational activities in the field of higher education for training post-graduate students at the III level of higher education, he was the guarantor of the educational and scientific program for training doctors of philosophy in the specialty «Applied Mechanics».
Oleksandr Permyakov was the member of the working group of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine for the development of the concept of the state scientific and technical program «Development of the technological base of mechanical engineering for 2010-2015». Today, he is the member of the Scientific and Methodical Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for the development of higher education standards in the specialty «Applied Mechanics». The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine repeatedly appointed him Head of the Expert Councils for educational institutions accreditation.
Professor O. A. Permyakov is a vivid example of the combination of a highly professional scientist and an experienced teacher, who has been training engineering and technical personnel and scientists of the highest qualifications for decades. As a leading lecturer of the department and a specialist in the field of technological systems of mechanical processing and metal-cutting equipment, he has developed methods and teaches new modern courses of academic disciplines.
The author of more than 150 scientific and methodical publications: training manuals with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, monographs, patents of Ukraine, the member of the editorial boards of a number of domestic specialized publications.
Professor O. A. Permyakov was awarded a diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (2019) and the medal «For Labor and Victory» for a significant personal contribution to the development of national education and science, the training of highly qualified specialists, many years of conscientious work and high professionalism (2020).
