The training manual deals with the basic principles of organization and technological preparation of mechanical engineering manufacture, as well as the stages of design and description of technological processes: selection of material and design of workpieces; analysis of the manufacturability of the design of the part; designing operations for shaping surfaces of different configurations and accuracy; calculation of allowances; selection of schemes for basing and fixing workpieces; methods of ensuring processing accuracy; fundamentals of machine assembly technology and product control. Classical schemes of material processing by blade and abrasive cutting, as well as advanced methods of electrochemical, electrophysical, combined processing and prototyping of engineering products are presented.
