Kashcheiev Leonid Borysovych (1954–2020) is Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of System Analysis and Information-Analytical Technologies of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».
In 1976 he graduated with honors from the Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics (now is Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics) majoring in «Automated Control Systems».
During 1979–1982 he studied at postgraduate school of the Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics, majoring in «Technical Cybernetics and Information Theory».
In 1982 he defended his dissertation on the topic: «Doslidzhennia metodiv operatyvnoho kontroliu obiektiv odnoho klasu v umovakh vypadkovykh vplyviv seredovyshcha» [Investigation of operational control methods of the same class objects under the conditions of random environmental influences] in the specialty: 05.13.01 «Technical cybernetics and information theory». Scientific supervisor is Svyrydov V. V., scientific consultant is Voloshchuk Y. I..
1983 — Associate Professor of the Department of System Analysis and Management of Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.
2000 — Associate Professor of the Department of System Analysis and Information-Analytical Technologies of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».
Leonid Borysovych devoted more than 35 years of his life to the Department of System Analysis and Information-Analytical Technologies of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». He was rightly considered one of the best teachers of the department. He was respected and sincerely loved by students and colleagues. Leonid Borysovych was a real professional and an example for teachers, a mentor for many generations of graduates of the department.
