Holoskokov Oleksandr Yevhenovych (June 1, 1950 – October 14, 2020) — Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Software Engineering and Management Information Technologies of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».

O. Ye. Holoskokov is a representative of a glorious dynasty: his family’s life is inextricably connected with National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». His father, Yevhen Hryhorovych, Honorary Doctor of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», Honored Employee of the Higher School, the Laureate of the State Prize in Science and Technology, Professor. For a long time, he headed the Engineering and Physics Faculty of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». And now Yevhenovych Holoskokov’s daughters — Yevheniia and Anna work at the Departments of Strategic Management, and Software Engineering and Management Information Technologies.

All labour activity of O. Ye. Holoskokov is closely connected with the Department of Software Engineering and Management Information Technologies (formerly the Department of Automated Management Systems), where he worked his way up from a graduate student to a Professor.

The candidate's dissertation of O. Ye. Holoskokov (1981) is devoted to decision-making under the risk conditions.

The field of O. Ye. Holoskokov’s scientific interests: the theory of stochastic processes, the theory of fuzzy sets, neural network technology of information processing, intelligent control technologies and decision-making under the risk conditions.

Professor O. Ye. Holoskokov is the author of more than 150 scientific publications.
