Garashchenko Yaroslav Mykolaiovych is Candidate of Technical Sciences (PhD in mechanical engineering), Associate Professor of the Department of Integrated Technologies of Mechanical Engineering named after M. F. Semko, Institute of Education and Science in Mechanical Engineering and Transport of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».

Ya. M. Garashchenko was born in 1975.

He graduated from Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (now is the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute») majoring in «Mechanical Engineering Technology». He worked as a full-time employee on scientific research subjects at the Department of Cutting Materials and Metal-Cutting Tools.

Completed a postgraduate course. In 2004, he defended his candidate's dissertation «Osnovy konstruiuvannia robochoi poverkhni almazno-abrazyvnykh instrumentiv na bazi 3D statystychnoho obiektno-oriientovanoho modeliuvannia» [Fundamentals of designing the working surface of diamond abrasive tools based on 3D statistical object-oriented modeling].

He has been Associate Professor of the Department of Integrated Technologies of Mechanical Engineering since 2008. Worked under the joint European project Tempus JEP 27198–2006 «Navchannia ukrainskykh inzheneriv kompiuternomu promyslovomu dyzain» [Ukrainian engineer training in computer industrial design] (2007–2009). He was responsible for the educational process technical and software support.

Garashchenko Ya. M. supervises the activities of the DELCAM Educational Center of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» within the framework of the project «Advanced computer technologies for universities of Ukraine».

Ya. M. Garashchenko teaches courses:

  • «3D modeling of complex products»,
  • «3D modeling of cutting tools»,
  • «Metrology, standardization, certification and accreditation»,
  • «Diagnostics and control of high-tech processes»,
  • «Machine assembly».

The field of scientific interests of Ya. M. Garashchenko includes:

  • modeling of diamond abrasive tools,
  • modern computer technologies,
  • object-oriented modeling,
  • reverse engineering technologies (Reverse Engineering).

With his participation, more than 100 academic works were published, among them 6 published abroad. He is the author of 11 patents of Ukraine.
