Furmanets Borys Ivanovych

 
Furmanets Borys Ivanovych is Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Social Systems Management, Candidate of Psychological Sciences. Boris Ivanovich was born on March 29, 1942 in the village of Kozyatyn of Vinnytska Oblast.
In 1962 he successfully graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Radio-Technical School of Air Defense Forces and then served in various officer positions in the Far East.
In 1975 he graduated from the Humanitarian Academy of the Armed Forces in Moscow. (Now Military University of Defence of the Russian Federation).
From 1975 to 1987 held various teaching positions in Daugavpils Higher Military Aviation Engineering School: lecturer, senior lecturer, Assistant Professor, Deputy Head of the Department of Social Sciences.
In 1983 B. I. Furmanets defended his dissertation «Psychological readiness for the activities of the flight engineer and the formation of cadets» and gained a candidate's degree of Psychological Sciences, specialty 19.00.09 «Military psychology».
In 1986 he gained an academic title of Assistant Professor.
In 1987–1991 held the position of Assistant Professor at the Kharkov Military Engineering Academy and taught psychology.
In 1991–2005 he taught psychology at Kharkiv University of Air Forces. For the fruitful work he was awarded medals and the order.
Since 2005 B. I. Furmanets has been working at the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». He is the author of two study guides, one textbook and more than 60 articles, 29 of them are scientific articles.
Main directions of scientific researches of B. I. Furmanets are: psychology of activity in special conditions, physiology and psychology of labour, engineering psychology in the «Man–Machine» systems.
