Demidov Ihor Mykolayovych is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Fats and Fermentation Products Technology of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».

Born on August 30, 1950 in Kharkiv. He graduated from Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (now is National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute») in 1973. From 1973 to 1976 he worked at Kharkiv Research Institute of Forensic Examinations (now is National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute).

Since 1976 he has been working at Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (now is National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»). In 1983 he obtained an academic degree of Candidate of Chemical Sciences, and in 1993 was awarded a Doctor of Technical Sciences degree, the same year he assumed the position of Professor of the Department of Fat Technology. He obtained the academic title of Professor in 2003.

The sphere of scientific interests of I. M. Demydov: problems of fat oxidation and its inhibition.
