Ahapov Oleh Mykolaiovych is Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Car and Tractor Industry Department of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».

Born on March 2, 1955.

From 1980 to 2005 he worked at the Department of Wheel and Tracked Vehicles of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», as Engineer, Leading Engineer, Research Officer and Senior Researcher, Head of the industry research laboratory «Improvement of Undercarriage Systems and Transmissions», Senior Lecturer.

From 1998 to 2012 he was Director (as a second job) of a group of companies engaged in the sale of new cars through car dealerships, servicing and repairing cars at their own service stations, organizing transportation by a taxi service, and selling fuel and lubricants through a network of gas stations in the city of Kharkiv.

Since October 2012 he has been working at the Department of Car and Tractor Industry of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» as Associate Professor.

The subject of O. M. Ahapov's scientific research: the dynamics of a tracked train when travelling over bumps and the choice of parameters of the tow hitch.

Associate Professor Ahapov O. M. combines scientific activity with pedagogical one and teaches the following disciplines: «Fundamentals of theory and practice of management and marketing in the field of motor vehicles», «Fundamentals of operation and maintenance of a car at a service station», «Technical operation and corporate car maintenance».
