Every year, on December 3, Ukraine celebrates the International Day of People with Disabilities.
People with physical disabilities live with us. These are those who, may not be able to provide themselves with all that is necessary, and take care of themselves due to their physical disability.
Like all civilized countries with a high culture of social relations, Ukraine treats such people as people with special needs who require additional attention from society. Such people do not call themselves disabled, they do not ask for pity, for them only elementary things are important - the opportunity to live. To be in society, to realize oneself, to have access to decent education and jobs.
Understanding the relevance and importance of social support students with special educational needs and the creation of an inclusive environment, on December 3, 2021, the Information and Resource Center «Without Barriers» began operating in the Scientific and Technical Library of NTU «KhPI».
► April 7, 2022 — online training «My wishes are my possibilities» to World Health Day;
► On May 13, 2022, volunteers of the Center, Svitlana Novosyolova and Natalya Lyabach, took part in Internet broadcasting author's program of Olena Horoshko. The theme and title of the event is «Children in War». The goal is to tell the whole world the truth about how children experience war and how adults try to support them psychologically and help them, together with their parents to survive these difficult times...
► June 1, 2022 — sociocultural action «We are your children, Ukraine!». The event is dedicated to the International Children's Day;
► June 19, 2022 — «Each person is a unique individual!». On the occasion of the Medical Worker's Day, a collection of regulatory documents on the rehabilitation of people with special educational needs, protection of their rights, freedoms and dignity, and current changes in the legislation of Ukraine is to the attention of users;
► September 10, 2022 — «Physical Culture and Sports Day» training;
► October 10, 2022 — a series of online trainings to World Mental Health Day;
► October 26-27, 2022 — interuniversity scientific and practical seminar «With tolerance in the heart» and online training «Psychological burnout of a teacher, self-regulation and recovery». The events were held on the occasion of the International Day of People with Physical Disabilities in the framework of cooperation with Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy and Kharkiv Specialized School I-III levels No.114 of Kharkiv City Council.
