Winners of the National Book Award KBU Awards

In 2026, the winners of the KBU Awards 2025, the national book award, were determined in several categories:
- Business Development – the winning book was “More Than a Team” by Artur Lupashko;
- Personal Development – the winner was the collective volume “How to Write a Book. A Concentrated Course in Writing Mastery”;
- History of Ukraine – the winners were “Mazepa: The Thousand-Faced Hero of Ukrainian History” by Viktor Horobets and “Ukrainian Radio: The History of a Turbulent Century” by Vadym Miskyi and Tamara Huseinova;
- The Russian–Ukrainian War – the winning book was “The First Energy War That Russia Lost Before the Invasion” by Yevhen Mochalov and Vitalii Kryzhevskyi;
- National Identity – two winners were selected: “And Now There’s No One Left to Ask… How to Research the History of Your Own Family?” by Anna Nikolaieva, and “Cultural Colonization: Fear, Humiliation, and Ukraine’s Resistance in the Soviet Empire” by Radomyr Mokryk.
Across its various categories, the KBU Awards present the best non-fiction books by Ukrainian authors of international caliber. This project draws attention to high-quality and intellectually valuable literature.
Special distinctions from the award organizers were given to the following books:
- “Business Between War and Life” by Anastasiia Shevchenko;
- “People Buy from People. How to Build a Brand, Marketing, and Communications for Small Businesses and Startups” by Yuliia Kolesnyk;
- “Sweet and Not-So-Sweet Business. From Coffee Vending Machines to a Restaurant Chain” by Anna Zavertailo;
- “Stoicism as a Way of Life” by Oleksandr Poltavtsev;
- “Soft Skills: Being Yourself” by Volodymyr Stanchyshyn and Olena Zhyltsova;
- “Hemingway Knows Nothing” by Artur Dron.
Books on business, personal development, the history of Ukraine, the Russian–Ukrainian war, and national identity today constitute a space for leadership formation and a starting point for the transformation of worldview.
