“Children’s Books – a Happy Future!”

A book exhibition “Children’s Books – a Happy Future!” was presented in April 2026 at the Scientific and Technical Library (library, subscription desk No. 1, room 45).

April 2 is celebrated as International Children’s Book Day. This date was established at the initiative and by the resolution of the International Board on Books for Young People. Every year since 1967, on the birthday of Hans Christian Andersen, events dedicated to children’s literature and reading are held all over the world.

Whoever reads many books,
Learns a great deal.
A book teaches everyone,
How one should live in this world.

These verses belong to Nadiia Krasotkina, a Ukrainian poet and educator, co‑author of the scientific and pedagogical project “Intellect of Ukraine.”

Reading gives a child extraordinary impressions and subjects for reflection. Recognized wisdom from books helps a child become an individual. Literary works for children are a huge part of culture, as they help shape a young person’s worldview, teach them to correctly perceive the concepts of good and evil, and understand the nature of human relationships.

A child today is our future — future students. The greatness of our country depends on their intellect.

A book exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with new stories, discover favorite characters, and take the first step toward a great friendship with a book. After all, it is children’s books that shape worldview, teach empathy, and inspire dreaming.
