Networking with British Scientists

On April 9 at 2:00 PM, researchers are invited to attend the International Scientific Seminar “Networking with British Scientists: The Path to Nature and Data Transmission Technologies.” The event will take place in a safe location at NTU “KhPI” (shelter, Building U2).

The Department of Micro- and Nanoelectronics is organizing a meeting with physicists working at research institutions in the United Kingdom.

Our speakers:
  • Anastasiia Vasylchenkova, PhD in Fiber Optics, Deputy Editor of Nature Photonics (Q1)
In her presentation “Publishing in the Nature Portfolio,” she will discuss the specifics of publishing in highly ranked scientific journals of the Nature Publishing Group and will outline key aspects to consider in order to ensure an effective publication strategy.

  • Mindaugas Jarmolovičius, researcher in fiber-optic data transmission systems at the Optical Networks Group, University College London

His presentation “Optical Networks and Fibre-Optic Communication” will introduce current advances in high-performance optical and fibre-optic systems for large-scale data transmission, which form the foundation of today’s information society.

Following the presentations, an informal networking session will take place, offering an opportunity to establish new scientific contacts offline and to dispel common myths about “British scientists.”
