In June 2026, within the framework of career guidance activities, the Summer Activities Program was launched for students of Kharkiv Lyceum No. 164 of the Kharkiv City Council.June is a time for vivid leisure, new acquaintances, and meaningful recreation. Therefore, on the basis of our partners, Kharkiv Lyceum No. 164 of the Kharkiv City Council, the Summer Activities Program for school students was launched.
Staff members of the Scientific and Technical Library of NTU “KhPI”, Lidiia Bondarenko, Head of the Cultural and Educational Work Department, and Nataliia Liabakh, Head of the Information and Resource Center “Without Barriers,” prepared and conducted a series of educational and creative events for primary and secondary school students within the framework of the project “Library Art Space ‘Where Dreams Come True…”.
June 04, for the youngest participants, a library lesson “Initiation into Readers. Getting to Know the Library” was held, during which children learned about the role of books in human life, the rules of library use, and the opportunities of a modern library space.
June 09, in the format of a round table, a meeting titled “Book Time for Friends” took place, during which students discussed their favorite books, reading, and creativity.
June 25, on the eve of Constitution Day of Ukraine, a patriotic event — a library quest “We Are Children of a Free Country”, was held for middle school students, dedicated to Ukrainian history, culture, values, and love for the native country.
Participants actively engaged in interactive quizzes, thematic games, creative tasks, and discussions. Such activities combine learning with elements of play and contribute to the development of cognitive interest, communication skills, and creative thinking.
Holding summer activities is an important area of the library’s work, as it helps engage students in reading, introduce them to the library’s opportunities, and foster a positive attitude toward books and education. The best evaluation of our events was sincere children’s hugs, smiles, and their desire to stay close. We are happy to meet our future readers and hope that for many of them the library will become a reliable assistant in learning, self-development, and exploring the world!
