Meet the DOCU/CLUB Film Club Network!

On February 12, 2026, at 14:00, as part of the “Film Meetings” series, we invite members of the polytechnic community to an online event with representatives of the DOCU/CLUB Network of Film Clubs, whose activities aim to promote awareness among Ukrainian citizens about human rights through access to the best documentary films from around the world.

Registration

The DOCU/CLUB film clubs are one of the strategic directions of the NGO “Docudays,” serving as a platform for screenings and discussions of documentary films, the development of students’ critical thinking, media literacy, understanding of human rights, dialogue between different groups, and interdisciplinary cooperation.

For universities, participation in the DOCU/CLUB Network opens opportunities to:
  • integrate documentary cinema into academic programs;
  • create spaces for public discussions and cross-sector partnerships and collaboration;
  • develop civic education and social responsibility among students;
  • join national and international initiatives.

The purpose of the meeting is to familiarize the university community with the opportunities of using human-rights-themed documentary cinema as a tool for education, civic dialogue, and engagement with complex social issues during wartime and post-war recovery.

During the event, participants will:
  • learn about the activities of the DOCU/CLUB Network, which unites more than 550 film clubs across Ukraine within educational, library, civic, and cultural institutions;
  • get acquainted with the format of film club work in educational institutions and their opportunities for working with students, educators, and communities;
  • watch and discuss the documentary film “Kherson. The Resistance Continues” by director Tetiana Symon, dedicated to the civic resistance and resilience of the city’s residents since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
