Cherkashyna Hanna Mykolaivna — Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Plastics and Biologically Active Polymers Technology of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».
In 1976, she entered the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (now — National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»), the Faculty of Technology of Organic Substances. She graduated from the University in 1982 with distinction in the specialty «Chemical Technology of Plastics». Enrolled at postgraduate school at Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute in 1983 and graduated it in 1986 (now — National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»). And the following year, in 1987, she defended PhD thesis in the specialty 05.17.06 — the technology for the retention and processing polymer and composite materials.
Further Hanna Mykolaivna's working career is closely connected with the Department of Plastics and Biologically Active Polymers Technology of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». Over the years of her work at the department she held various positions: junior researcher, senior researcher, assistant, associate professor.
Research Areas: Investigation of intensification of structuring of polymer composites
Associate Professor Cherkashyna H. M. together with the department staff (Associate Professors O. M. Blyzniuk, L. P. Pidhorna, Assistant O. V. Hryhorenko)and in a close cooperation with a number of medical institutions of the city of Kharkiv (Institute of Dermatology and Venereology of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Mechnicov Institute of Vaccines and Serums, Ukrainian Research Institute of Prosthetics, Center for Vascular Surgery) investigated test systems for express diagnostics of various diseases, delivery systems for vascular surgery, the latest materials for biodegradable polymer prosthetics.

Cherkashyna H. M. is the author of over than 155 scientific publications, she has received 4 copyright certificates, has published 15 methodological aids, and 1 training manual with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine — «Teoriia ta metody doslidzhennia i vyprobuvannia plastmas, kleiv i hermetykiv» [The theory and methods of investigation and testing of plastics, adhesives and sealants].
