This book is a unique tutorial, first published in Ukraine, containing methods for calculating the main types of mechanical transmissions, their components, as well as methods and recommendations for development of the construction, which links together the calculated and graphic parts of designing (calculation part + designing = construction). Calculation and design techniques are illustrated with examples. Samples of assembly and working drawings are given. DSTU and GOST, necessary for designing, information on metrology, for engineering materials and heat treatment of them, and for engineering graphics are presented. It is a tutorial for designing.
